The Reference Collection
is located on the second floor and is made up of a variety
of information sources such as directories, dictionaries,
encyclopedias, handbooks, biographical sources, etc. Reference
materials are intended to be used within the Library and do
not circulate.
Reference Desk
The Reference Desk is on the right side of the second floor.
Personnel at the Reference Desk help people find and use information.
Ask at the Reference Desk when you have questions, need directions,
or want advice about finding information for your research
or interests. Reference and Instructional Services staff will
be happy to guide you to the reference book or index you might
need, or to help you locate books on Millennium Online Catalog
and find articles from the Databases. Staff at the Reference
Desk provides in-depth assistance with research questions
or projects. They can offer suggestions on gathering materials
for a specific topic and can assist you with the use of reference
materials, bibliographies, indexes, and specialized information
sources.

Ask a Librarian is a free online information service provided
by Florida libraries. Library staff from public, academic,
school, and special libraries throughout Florida answer your
questions in real time.
Visit the Ask-A-Librarian
Service, where librarians from throughout the state of
Florida will answer your general questions using live chat.
Hours of operation are:
• 10 am to midnight Sunday through Thursday
• 10 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday.

Interlibrary
Loan
The Interlibrary Loan is provided for materials not owned
by Nathan W. Collier Library. Through Interlibrary Loan services,
students and faculty can request materials (books, journal
articles) needed for research or serious study which are not
in Nathan W. Collier Library. Requests are submitted to the
Reference Desk. There may be a charge for some Interlibrary
Loan services. Inquire at the Reference Desk for further information.Top
SEFLIN (Southeast
Florida Library Information Network)
Faculty, staff and students may use or borrow materials that
are not owned by Nathan W. Collier library from other libraries
in the area after obtaining a SEFLIN (Southeast Florida Library
Information Network) card. The card is available from the
Circulation Librarian. Users may access SEFLIN’s resources
directly from here
or from the Millennium Online

The University
Archives
The University Archives contain materials related to the history
of the university. University publications, pictures clippings,
and other documents are in the collection. Research of archival
